Ko mātou tēnei, Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Whānau Tahi, e whakaako ana i ngā tau 1-13, ki Ōtautahi. Ko ngā mātāpono o Te Aho Matua hei ārahi i ā mātou mahi katoa, ahakoa te kaupapa. Ko tā mātou e wawata nei, kia whai wāhi ngā ākonga katoa ki te ako i ngā kaupapa ka ahu mai i ngā tikanga Māori, ka hāngai hoki ki te ao o muri ake nei, e tutuki ai ngā hiahia mō tā rātou ako te take. Ka whakahaerehia te kura i runga i ngā uara o tēnei mea Te Whanautahitanga, arā, ko ngā whānau ngā kaiwhakahaere o tēnei kura.

Tērā pea ka tāpiritia ki tēnei tūranga te Principal's Recruitment Allowance (kei te tonohia e te Poari i tēnei wā). Ka koha mātou i tētahi pūtea hei tautoko i ngā utu hūnuku, mēnā kei te noho te tangata (māna tēnei tūranga) ki waho o Ōtauahi.

Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Whānau Tahi is a Years 1 – 13 composite school, in Christchurch. Te Whānau Tahi is committed to Te Aho Matua as the working philosophy for all aspects of kura life. Ākonga at Te Whānau Tahi will have the opportunity to participate in culturally-grounded, future-focused programmes of learning that meet their educational needs and interests. The administration and organisation of Te Whānau Tahi is based on principles of whānau management.

The Tumuaki position may bring eligibility for the Principal’s Recruitment Allowance (approval for this allowance is currently being applied for by the Board of Trustees).   Assistance with relocation costs may also be available for successful applicant if located outside of Christchurch.
