New trial meal āpōpō for kura lunches
Wed Jun 17 03:26pmTēnā koutou e te whānau
Our kura is one of two kura in Aotearoa helping the School Lunch Collective (the provider of the funded school lunches) trial one new meal a week for the next few weeks. These meals are different to the regular menu provided to kura receiving lunches.
This weeks dish is a Lasagne Bake and will be delivered tomorrow. There is a dietary alternative for ākonga with dietary requirements.
Our kaiako will be collecting feedback on behalf of ākonga through surveys and we will be feeding these back to the School Lunch Collective each week – good and bad!
We ask that whānau tautoko the trial by encouraging their tamaiti/tamariki to try tomorrows lasagne bake. This is especially important for those tamariki that bring in their own lunch from home.
We will let whānau know the trial meal each week, once we have been notified of what it is going to be.

Mā ngā tau 9 me ngā tau 10 ētahi kai e tunu, e whakarite kia hokona atu ki ngā tamariki o te kura.
This Friday our tauira tau 9 and tau 10 will be having a bake sale at kura from 12:30pm to 1:30pm. At this time tauira from kuratahi and wharekura will be able to choose from a selection of foods to buy for lunch.
Below you can find the kai being prepared by each group as well as the costs involved.
If your child will be purchasing kai, their payment tomorrow must be made to the tari by cash only. This makes things easier for our kaimahi in the tari.
